| About Us
Diversified was formed in 1971 when families came together with a desire to create a safe, "sheltered" environment for their adult children to work in while earning an income. At that time a sheltered workshop was created to serve that purpose. Although it does not exist in the same form today, in 2009 Diversified is celebrating its 38th year providing pre-vocational and community based supported employment services for adults with developmental disabilities. At Diversified we recognize that each individual must take the path that will empower them to reach their employment goals. To that aim, we help our clients identify their employable strengths, provide them with the support they need to overcome barriers, assist them in locating, creating and applying for positions they are qualified for as well as job retention support after a person is hired. It is our goal to help you succeed! Our Philosophy Client Services is committed to normalizing supported employment in the community. We are committed to providing you with experiences within your vocational development that are inclusive. We are committed to advocating for you and your right to experience all that life has to offer! We are committed to educating you, your family, caregivers and the community as a whole as to the absolute value and necessity of inclusive career opportunities for all people. We are committed to you! Diversified Industrial on KRKO |
